UF Names VP for Enrollment Management

Rebecca A. Butler will be The University of Findlay’s first Vice President for Enrollment Management effective January 22, 2013. Dr. Katherine Fell, University President, announced Butler’s appointment to the newly created position to faculty and staff this week.
“Rebecca has leadership experience in the development of all facets of enrollment management, including registration, financial aid, advising, retention, and academic program planning,” said Fell.
Most recently, Butler has held the position of State Project Director, Ohio Cadre for the Gates Foundation Completion by Design Grant for Sinclair Community College, Dayton, Ohio. She has also held concurrent positions as the Dean of the Learning Centers and the Senior Director of Marketing for Sinclair. In all, she has had more than 13 years of higher education experience.
While at Sinclair, Butler was responsible for strategic marketing, recruiting and communications for the entire Sinclair Community College system, made up of more than 25,000 students, six locations, and a robust online program. Under her guidance, the number of new students for fall 2012 increased 16 percent over 2011.
Currently working toward a Ph.D. in higher education administration from Ohio University, Butler holds a master of business administration from The University of Dayton and a bachelor of science in journalism from Ohio University.
