UF Celebrates 25 years of Dana Scholars
University of Findlay‘s College of Business celebrated 25 years of the Dana Scholars Program on April 7, 2022, with a reception. The Dana Scholars Program provides an opportunity for business students to connect higher education with the real world of business.
A donation from the Dana Corporation established the Dana Chair to utilize the “Executive-in-Residence” concept on campus. A group of 10 outstanding business students is selected every year based on their academic achievements and leadership skills. “This program is important and beneficial because it brings a completely different perspective to the traditional college experience and provides an opportunity for business students to connect higher education with the real world of business,” said Kirby Overton, Ed.D., dean of the College of Business.
The event celebrating the 25 years of Dana Scholars included remarks from current and past Dana Chairs and students. This gave an opportunity for current students to network with community members and alumni to further their knowledge of the always-changing business world. Oftentimes, lifelong relationships are built as a result of the unique experiences of those involved and because of the constant networking that this group experiences.
