Area Kids Invited to ‘Pump up the STEAM’ with Mazza’s New STEAM Club
The University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum will be offering a new after-school program series focusing on STEAM education. Children in the community will explore new topics and “Pump up the STEAM” with STEAM Club at University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum.
Available for children in grades 5-8, the six-week program will consist of one session per week beginning Tuesday, Feb. 22 at Mazza’s Joseph and Judith Conda STEAM Education Center. Cost of registration is $175 per student and covers all six courses in the series. Cost for those who pre-register before Feb. 12 is $150. Registration closes Feb. 20. Limited space is available.
This six-week, STEAM focused after-school program is designed for the innovators of tomorrow. University of Findlay faculty and staff will lead each session that will dive into the world of STEAM in new and unique ways. Students who attend all six sessions will earn a lab coat and will be invited to attend a special Lab Coat Ceremony.
Heather Sensel, education manager at the Mazza Museum, noted, “These sessions will allow students to explore, engage, and discuss real-world problems while utilizing hands on techniques that create a space for collaboration, critical thinking, and creativity to EXPLODE!”
