Emeritus status for two recently retired professors was approved by The University of Findlay Board of Trustees on Friday, Oct. 16.
Shiv Gupta, Ph.D., and Anthony Wilgus were granted the professional honor. Gupta retired in June as a faculty member in the College of Business, but is teaching two courses this fall as an adjunct professor. Wilgus retired earlier this year. He had been an associate professor and coordinator of field instruction for the social work program.
Former Ohio House Speaker Jo Anne Davidson, who had served as a board member from 1994 until June, was granted trustee emerita status at the June board meeting and honored at a trustee dinner held Thursday.
Members were updated on Shafer Library improvements. Construction is expected to start this month within the building’s original footprint. Eight new group study rooms will be added; and space will be reconfigured for ITS Technology Support Services work area/offices, and for online delivery and library employees.
The Board also approved the 2014/2015 audit report and the Fraud Risk Assessment Policy for the 2015-2016 fiscal year.
