UF’s College of Pharmacy to Launch Distance Pharm.D. Program

University of Findlay’s College of Pharmacy has partnered with Keypath Education to launch Findlay’s distance Doctor of Pharmacy program in Fall 2023. University of Findlay’s distance Pharm.D. blends the convenience of online didactic coursework with valuable on-campus immersions and experiential learning in students’ communities to prepare them for licensure.
The College of Pharmacy’s program prepares students to be accomplished pharmacists who can improve the quality of life for patients in your community. “At Findlay, we value innovation in teaching methods, practical learning experiences, intellectual curiosity, life-long learning, and professional leadership, alongside the personal qualities of honesty, integrity, and respect,” said Debra Parker, dean of the college of pharmacy. “Our program is designed to encourage collaboration with one another to get the very most out of your learning experience with us.”
The program can be completed in 4 years and includes online coursework (synchronous and asynchronous), three one-week campus immersions, and experiential learning in clinical settings. “Experiential learning is an essential part of our program. We believe that continual exposure to a variety of patient care settings and research opportunities complements online coursework and provides the optimal learning experience,” said Parker.
