Economic Research Paper Captures Third Place

The University of Findlay’s economic undergraduate research team recently won third place at Bowling Green State University’s annual Undergraduate Economics Student Paper Contest and Conference.
Advised by Dr. Yaseen S. Alhaj-Yaseen, the team of Reilly Butz, Todd Hamit, Rayan Alghuraibi and Aaron Pauly had submitted their research paper, titled “Preschool Effectiveness.” They competed against schools such as Kenyon College, Miami University and the University of Michigan.
The UF team’s paper, which sought to determine if regional preschool preparedness influences grade school readiness and performance, was one of 15 others that were accepted for this conference, and among 10 that were chosen as finalists.
