Equestrian Show Team Results – September 2019 Review

Throughout fall semester, the University of Findlay’s equestrian show teams have been busy with tryouts and honing their skills during practice. In the month of September, the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Hunt Seat team and the IHSA Western team had the chance to showcase their skills in various tournaments.
IHSA Western
The reigning IHSA Western national champions opened their season with a horse show on home turf, the University of Findlay Western Farm. The Oilers were the highpoint team in both the morning and the afternoon show. In the morning show, James Novak was the high point rider and Ashton Knerr was the reserve high point rider. In the afternoon show, Charlotte Chubb was the high point rider. Several UF riders qualified for Regionals during this event.
IHSA Hunt Seat
Competing at home in their first event of the season, the IHSA Hunt Seat team was tied for reserve high point team on the first day and won high point team on the second day. Several students pointed out of their current divisions and have qualified for Regionals.
