Throughout fall semester, the University of Findlay’s equestrian show teams have been busy with tryouts and honing their skills during practice. In the month of September, the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Hunt Seat team and the IHSA Western team had the chance to showcase their skills in various tournaments.
The reigning IHSA Western national champions opened their season with a horse show on home turf, the University of Findlay Western Farm. The Oilers were the highpoint team in both the morning and the afternoon show. In the morning show, James Novak was the high point rider and Ashton Knerr was the reserve high point rider. In the afternoon show, Charlotte Chubb was the high point rider. Several UF riders qualified for Regionals during this event.
