Faculty Awards Presented at Annual Faculty Recognition Gala
University of Findlay Faculty Award winners for the 2021 academic year were recently announced and honored at the Faculty Recognition Gala. The University congratulates the following individuals for their wonderful achievements.

The Founders’ Academic Excellence Award for Faculty
Presented to: Christine Tulley, Ph.D., professor of English, director of the Master of Arts in Rhetoric and Writing Program, and the Center for Teaching Excellence faculty liaison
The Founders’ Academic Excellence Award for Faculty honors all-around academic excellence and Christian witness. Established by the Churches of God and the University, this award is a tribute to overall academic excellence within the context of positive Christian witness on campus.
The David L. Allen Award for Teaching Excellence
Presented to: Pamela Warton, Ph.D., professor of mathematics
The David L. Allen Award for Teaching Excellence is a tribute to holistic teaching excellence in and out of the classroom. This honor includes a monetary gift, an engraved memento, and recognition on a perpetual plaque displayed in Old Main.
The Harriette Smith Ritz Service to the University Award
Presented to: Ryan Schneider, Pharm.D., associate professor of pharmaceutical sciences and associate dean for Operations and Effectiveness, and chair of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences
The Harriette Smith Ritz Service to the University Award highlights the importance of service to the institution by faculty members. This award recognizes exemplary contributions to academic governance and other service leadership roles within a program/department, college or the institution at large.
The University of Findlay Advisor of the Year Award
Presented to: Eric Stoller, assistant professor of teaching in sports management and coordinator of Internship and Co-Operative Programs
The Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty Advisor Award, developed by the Academic Advising Committee, recognizes a faculty member from each college who has had a positive influence on undergraduate students through academic advising.
