First ‘Faculty Focus’ Magazine Showcases Some of UF’s Teaching Elite

The University of Findlay’s premier issue of Faculty Focus has been printed and is available online! The magazine includes features highlighting faculty academic work, dynamic teaching methods and accomplishments.
Funded with a University grant, the 34-page publication spotlights standouts such as:

• Yaseen S. Alhaj-Yaseen, Ph.D., an economics professor whose popular undergraduate lessons on investing and financial modeling are prompting graduate level work from some of the College of Business’ premier students;
• Allison Kiefner-Burmeister, Ph.D., a psychology professor whose research on body image, weight bias and eating behaviors of children have revealed interesting insights about media and cultural influences;
• Ed Nyman, Ph.D., a health and human performance professor whose work on injury prevention, using motion-tracking technology and other state-of-the-art equipment, is enabling meaningful undergraduate research.

Additionally, Faculty Focus includes updated lists on recent faculty publications and presentations from professors in each of the University of Findlay’s six colleges.
