The University of Findlay will be celebrating its 135th year of serving students with its inaugural Founders’ Day of Giving on Thursday, Sept. 7. The event will reinforce our founders’ dedicated support, collaborative vision and commitment to helping individuals lead meaningful lives and have productive careers.
Gifts of all sizes will be welcome. You can choose to support the University with a gift to The Findlay Fund, invest in student financial aid, or give to your favorite college or program.
Donations can be made by visiting https://foundersday.findlay.edu/
Collection boxes also will be available at several Founders’ Day of Giving partner businesses in Findlay. They include Trends on Main, East of Chicago Pizza, Sink’s Flower Shop and Greenhouse, Lawless Barbershop, QQ Gardens, Bread Kneads and The Lunch Box powered by Bread Kneads, George House Coffee & Tea Co., We Serve. Coffee, and Shoe Sensation.
Findlay College was founded by the Churches of God General Conference and City of Findlay citizens on Jan. 25, 1882. Construction of the first campus building, Old Main, began in 1884, and classes opened in 1886. The institution changed its name from Findlay College to The University of Findlay in 1989 to recognize the growth of programs and enrollment, and the addition of graduate programming.
