Four Students’ Works on Display in 2018 Senior Art Exhibition
Four University of Findlay students will display some of their finest works in the annual Senior Art Exhibition, which is open in the Lea Gallery through Feb. 22.
A reception will be held Sunday, Feb. 18 from 1-3 p.m. in the gallery, which is located in the Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion.
Participating in this year’s show are Miranda Verhoff, Melanie McCaffrey, Xiaoting Qiu and Katie Siebenaler.
Verhoff is a graphic design major. She has 10 pieces in the show including graphic design work, digital photography and drawings. She has been on the dean’s list each semester at UF and was awarded the Caleb Clark Endowed Scholarship in 2017.
McCaffrey is double majoring in graphic design and English equestrian studies with a minor in photography. She has 13 pieces in the show including graphic design work, digital photography and drawings. She has completed graphic design internships with Blanchard Valley Health System and the University’s Office of Marketing and Communication.
Qiu is an art and business major with a photography minor. She has eight pieces in the show including digital and film photography. She was selected as a finalist in Photographer’s Forum’s 37th Annual Best of Photography Contest, and was awarded Best of Show in the 2017 Undergraduate Juried Exhibition at UF.
Siebenaler is a graphic design major with photography and art history minors. She has 10 pieces in the show, including graphic design work and digital photography. She recently completed a graphic design internship with Dietsch Brothers Fine Chocolates and Ice Cream where she had the opportunity to create retail signage and displays, assist with social media, create new product packaging, and photograph items for marketing purposes.
The Lea Gallery is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
