Fridays at Findlay to Cover Brand Growth with Key Executive of Foot Locker

This first Virtual Fridays at Findlay of 2021 will cover the differences between “need” and “want” based retail as it relates to brand growth in an omni-channel environment.
On Friday, Feb. 26, 2021, “Growing Your Brand Through Digital Experiences” will be presented completely virtually from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. and is free to the public.
Panelist Vijay Talwar ’92, executive vice president and CEO of Foot Locker Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), will expand on this concept and explain the differences between Millennial and Gen-Z attitudes, why elevating convenience to the level of experience matters, how purpose-driven retail can impact your brand, and why it should matter to you that he keeps a pair of his son’s sneakers under lock and key.
After graduating from Findlay with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Vijay went on to receive his Master of Accountancy from Miami University and also holds an MBA from the University of Chicago.
Vijay joined Foot Locker in 2016 as President – Digital, and assumed the position of CEO of Foot Locker EMEA in 2019. As Executive Vice President and CEO, he is responsible for guiding strategic direction and vision for Foot Locker EMEA, including franchise operations. Vijay focuses on driving productivity and capitalizing on growth opportunities, while furthering an elevated multi-channel experience across this important geography.
Sponsored by Premier Bank (formerly First Federal Bank), the Fridays at Findlay lecture series is designed to encourage continued educational opportunities for members of the community, the campus, and alumni regarding best leadership practices.
