John C. Gillham Interview Published on Online Ed.D. Programs
John C. Gillham, Ed.D., associate professor of education and chair of the Doctor of Education Program at the University of Findlay, was recently featured on Online Ed.D. Programs as he provided insight to Findlay’s Online Doctor of Education Program.
In the interview, Gillham discussed key learning outcomes for the program and how it prepares students to be successful in their careers. He stated, “What we do for our students is help them think differently, to approach education challenges differently.”
Gillham continued to say that, “Our program guides students through the process of understanding how to think about things on a theoretical level, looking at the systems involved and digging down to see the underlying causes of these problems of practice that lie beneath the symptoms.”
Other points discussed in the interview include online learning technologies used for courses, the dissertation process and faculty mentorship.
