Joseph and Judith Conda Named AFP Outstanding Philanthropists
University of Findlay donors Joseph and Judith Conda accepted the Outstanding Philanthropist award at a virtual Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Northwest Ohio Chapter celebration. The event was held on Thursday, Nov. 12.
AFP’s mission “is to foster the development and growth of fundraising professionals throughout northwest Ohio and promote high ethical standards in the fundraising profession.” The organization’s Northwest Ohio Chapter annually recognizes both individuals and organizations “who have made an impact in our communities through philanthropy and working together to ‘Change the World With a Giving Heart.’”
Joseph and Judith Conda have been a part of the University for six years and have made an everlasting impact. “Joe and Judith are amazing, generous people, and so deserving of this award,” said Marcia Latta, Ed.D., vice president of university advancement. “They not only give so generously of their financial resources to University of Findlay, but also of their time and wisdom. We are a much better University because of their involvement.”
Recently, they provided a generous lead donation to the new addition to the University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum, which has been named the Joseph and Judith Conda STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics/medicine) Education Center in their honor.
The Condas have been a large part of a number of other philanthropic endeavors at University of Findlay including: Joseph and Judith Conda Tales for Tots Endowment, College of Pharmacy Advisory Board Endowment, the Findlay Fund, and the Center for Student Life College of Business Building.
Monetary gifts are not the only ways the Condas give back to the University and the community. Joseph Conda serves on the University of Findlay Board of Counselors and the College of Pharmacy Advisory Board where he provides valuable insight gained through industry experience and degrees in business administration, marketing, and finance. Judith Conda also serves on the Mazza Enthusiasts Advisory Board and is a founding member of the University of Findlay Women’s Philanthropy Initiative.
