Jung to Conduct Two Christmas Choir Concerts

University of Findlay vocalists will help the community celebrate the commencement of the holiday season with back-to-back Christmas Choir Concert performances on Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 2330 S. Main St.; and on Sunday, Nov. 20, at 3 p.m. in Winebrenner Theological Seminary’s TLB Auditorium.
Tickets for both events are free, but required. They may be reserved a the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts box office, which can be accessed online at www.marathoncenterarts.org, by calling 419-423-2787 or by stopping by the box office at 200 W. Main Cross St.
Singing will be the UF Concert-Chorale, Men’s Chorus and University Singers. Kelly Lewis will serve as accompanist and Brent Neuenschwander as organist.
Conducting will be SeaHwa Jung, DMA, who joined UF faculty this past summer to conduct as well as to teach voice and music appreciation.
Traditional Christmas carols such as “Ave Maria,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” and “O Come All Ye Faithful: will be presented. Choral works such as Daniel Pinkham’s “Christmas Cantata” will also be featured.
