The University of Findlay’s spring juried Student Art and Design Exhibition is open through April 27 at the Virginia B. Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion’s Dudley and Mary Marks Lea Gallery. A reception will be held for the artists and awards will be conferred on Tuesday, April 18 at 7 p.m. in the gallery.
A total of 94 pieces were chosen to be exhibited out of about 300 submissions, according to UF art instructor Spencer Cunningham.
The exhibition judge is Jordan Buschur, a Toledo-based artist, educator and curator who serves as the marketing coordinator for The Arts Commission of Greater Toledo. She received a Master of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College, City University of New York. Her work has been shown internationally.
The University’s Lea Gallery is open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
