Mazza Museum Funday Sunday to Feature Afternoon Elf Workshop

Just in time for the holidays, the University of Findlay Mazza Museum will offer an Elf Workshop on Dec. 1. This free, public Funday Sunday event will be held from 1:30-3:30 p.m.
Participants will help Santa make special gifts out of cardboard and repurposed materials to take home or wrap for someone special. Bigelow Hill Intermediate School students will demonstrate their Cardboard Challenge projects along with author/illustrator Merill Rainey through an interactive presentation called “Cardboard Construction Creation: Santa Needs Help!” Also, Amy M. Schlessman, PT, DPT, DHS, assistant professor of physical therapy, will host an interactive presentation.
Some other stations and activities featured at Elf Workshop will include:
- Well-known illustrator Richard Cowdrey, who will autograph his newest book, “A Very Fiona Christmas” about the Cincinnati Zoo’s Fiona the hippopotamus
- Marathon Center for the Performing Arts drama station
- Newhard Planetarium shows
- Gingerbread house construction
