Mazza’s Young Artist Workshop to Feature STEAM
The University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum will host its annual Young Artist Workshop in-person July 19-23 on the University’s campus. This event helps children learn about the fascinating world of picture book art in a fun, exciting way with instruction from children’s book illustrators, Mazza staff, and local area teachers.
“Mazza is very excited to welcome our students back for the in-person Young Artist Workshop!” said Heather Sensel, education manager at the University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum. “Our goal is to give the participants a sneak peek in the picture book world, focusing on art techniques that will embrace their curiosity and individuality. They will try new techniques promoting out-of-the-box thinking by using an array of media.”
The 2021 Young Artist Workshop theme is “STEAM It Up!” Participating young artists will explore and create using science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.
Open to children in grades 3-5 and 6-8 (as of fall 2021), cost of the Young Artist Workshop is $175. Enrollment space is limited and provided on a first come, first serve basis.
