Medical Industry Professionals Added to UF’s Board of Trustees
Dr. William Kose and Marian Lowe ‘97 have been elected to the University of Findlay’s Board of Trustees.
William Kose, M.D., graduated from The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s in anatomy in 1968, and received his Doctor of Medicine from The Ohio State University Medical School in 1971.
Professionally, Dr. Kose has had an outstanding career in healthcare. He currently serves as Vice President for Special Projects at Blanchard Valley Health System. Prior to this role, he was the Senior Vice President and the Medical Affairs and Chief Quality Officer for Blanchard Valley Health System. Formerly, Dr. Kose was an Internal Medicine Physician for Blanchard Valley Medical Associates, and served on several medical boards including the Blanchard Valley Health Association Board of Trustees, Ohio State Medical Association, Ohio Legislative Malpractice Commission, Ohio Patient Safety Institute, and the Ohio Hospital Association Clinical Advisory Council.
Along with a stellar professional career, Dr. Kose has also had an active role in the community. Dr. Kose served as Chair of multiple United Way campaigns; assisted with Hancock County Board of Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Services; was Chair of the Trust Committee and taught Sunday School at St. Paul Lutheran Church, and is a current member of the College First Church of God.
University of Findlay alumna Marian Lowe ’97 earned a bachelor degree in biology and pre-veterinary medicine in 1997. She later went on to complete the Executive MBA program from The Ohio State University Fisher College of Business.
Lowe currently resides in Atlanta, GA and is the Chief Strategy Officer for U.S. Anesthesia Partners (USAP), the nation’s largest anesthesia practice with more than 4,500 clinicians across nine states. Lowe is also the Founder and CEO of Accretive Strategy, a boutique healthcare consulting firm. Prior to joining USAP, she was the Chief Strategy Officer for United Surgical Partners International, the largest operator of ambulatory surgical centers and specialty surgical hospitals. Before joining USAP she was a Partner in a boutique health care consulting firm in Washington, DC for a decade and previously held leadership positions in in government and health care trade associations.
Lowe has also received multiple recognitions throughout her professional and academic careers. Such recognitions include the University of Findlay 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award, American Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers Distinguished Leadership Award, and being included in the “Who’s Who in the Ambulatory Surgery Industry” by SurgiCenter Magazine.
