Ohio Farm Bureau’s ExploreAg Camp ’22 Coming to UF
The University of Findlay will host a week-long camp for high school students as part of Ohio Farm Bureau’s ExploreAg program July 10-15.
During this free camp, students are immersed in hands-on learning that exposes them to a multitude of careers in agriculture, which helps combat the growing need for workers in agribusiness. Students will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from various teachers, scientists, and researchers who will introduce them to various aspects of agriculture both in the classroom and through diverse hands-on learning experiences.
“Given the overwhelming necessity of agriculture for sustaining life and our world, the ExploreAg program holds a vital role in creating agricultural advocates, educators, and professionals needed for sustainability,” said Kelly Burns, executive director of Ohio Farm Bureau Foundation.
Through the ExploreAg camp, participants will develop their leadership and collaboration skills and prepare for college and their future career. During the camp, students will have the opportunity to explore UF’s campus, talk to the Office of Admissions, and even stay in Fox and Bare Residence Halls.
