Brant K. Rhoad, an attorney and business owner from Powell, Ohio, was recently named to the University of Findlay Board of Trustees.
Rhoad is a partner and shareholder with Schemer, Sybert & Rhoad, LLC, is an owner and member of New Hire Facts, LLC, and owns BRCB Properties, LLC. He previously provided counsel to Christensen & Christensen, and was an associate with Decker, Vonau, Seguin, Lackey & Vets Co. LPA.
Rhoad graduated from UF in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in biology. He earned a Juris Doctor from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law.
In 2005 he received the University’s Old Main Award, which is presented to younger alumni who have demonstrated distinctive achievements in their chosen career, civic involvement and/or service to UF.
Along with serving on the University of Findlay Board of Counselors, he has also served on the Central Ohio Men Against Prostate Cancer Board of Directors, been board chair for Capital Area Humane Society, and was a former board member of Linebacker, Inc.
As a trustee, Rhoad now serves on University committees for academic, student and business affairs.
Rhoad cited the positive impact that UF has had on his life, and his interest in its success, as reason for becoming a trustee.
“I have a love and a passion for the University of Findlay and a desire to see the University be second to none,” he explained. “I want to give back to a University community that has done so much for me and my family and has been instrumental in my successes both personally and professionally. My background as an attorney and a business owner will bring value to the board.”
