School Superintendent of Large Tokyo Suburb to Offer Education Perspectives
Shuhei Moro, school superintendent of Kawaguchi City, Saitama Prefecture in Japan, will speak at the University of Findlay on Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m. in the Davis Street Building, Room 102.
Moro’s free, public lecture will offer “A National and Local Perspective on Pre-College Education in Japan.”
Kawaguchi, a Tokyo suburb with a population of 600,000, is an older community known for its traditional cast iron industry. In recent years, it has become the residence for many people working in Tokyo’s bustling economy. Moro will discuss trends, issues and challenges of grades 1-12 education based on his 35 years of experience as a teacher and administrator.
