UF Adopts Test-Optional Admission for Upcoming Academic Year

University of Findlay is now offering a test-optional alternative entry option to applicants for the 2021-22 academic year.
This alternative entry option gives applicants the opportunity to be considered for admission without submitting ACT, CLT, or SAT test scores.
Due to COVID-19, many students have not had the opportunity to take the standardized tests typically required for college admission. In a typical year, students have as many opportunities as they need to complete these tests to improve their likelihood of being accepted by UF and increase their scholarships.
Shawn Jordan, director of undergraduate and transfer admissions, said that it is because of the unusual circumstances of this year brought on by the pandemic that the University, “developed an alternative entry option to allow students to continue through the admissions process and gain admission to UF without a test score.”
In place of the test scores, “we are requiring a letter of recommendation, an essay, and a short interview with the Office of Admissions,” said Jordan.
