UF Alumni and Friends Fuel the Future with Day of Giving March 19
Together, on Thursday, March 19, University of Findlay alumni, friends, faculty, staff, students, and community members will celebrate the University’s annual Day of Giving.
This year’s philanthropic event is highlighting how gifts to UF impact Oiler students by fueling their success and providing cutting edge facilities, labs, and experiential learning.
Alumni and friends are invited to help fuel the future of UF students by making a gift at dayofgiving.findlay.edu.
“Every gift fuels student achievements, creativity, research, and opportunities across campus,” explained Madelynn Strayer ’21, UF director of annual giving. “Every year, we rely on the generous hearts of Oiler Nation to transform the future of the University – and we are so grateful for their support.”
The event kicks off by “Ringing in Day of Giving” at the bell tower at noon on March 19, along with a Facebook Live broadcast featuring mascot Derrick the Oiler and the UF marching band. President Katherine Fell, Ph.D., will present the first official gift of the day.
Last year, 580 donors made gifts totaling $220,766 during the Day of Giving celebration, according to Strayer, surpassing the goal of 500 donors.
“Students rely on the support of our loyal alumni and friends to fuel what moves UF forward,” she noted. “The University’s strength and vibrancy is made possible through the help of our donors. Your gift makes a difference for the next generation of Oilers.”
Donations can be made online through the University’s secure, online service Give Campus found at dayofgiving.findlay.edu. All gifts are tax-deductible.
Donors can increase their Day of Giving impact by becoming an advocate for UF. They can create a free online account by registering at dayofgiving.findlay.edu to help spread the news on social media and encourage others to give.
