UF Focuses Addresses the 4th Industrial Revolution (The IA of AI)
University of Findlay will partner with Findlay-Hancock County Alliance to host its 22nd annual Information Assurance (IA) Forum on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, from 10 a.m.-2:30 p.m. The forum will be held in person at the University’s Winebrenner TLB Auditorium and online through Zoom and UFTV.
The annual event brings together students, faculty, staff, community members, and regional business owners to explore emerging technologies and their potential to impact information security and privacy. This year’s theme of “Artificial Intelligence and the 4th Industrial Revolution” will discuss the cyber security concerns in AI systems, and its impact on the world of business and industry
The event features student presentations, a panel discussion, and guest speakers. Keynote speakers Dennis Acuña of Digital GRC LLC and Loren Wagner of LIW Cyber Consulting will be looking at AI and the 4th Industrial Revolution through the lens of cybersecurity consultants. Will Brown and David Lamb with GS Wiring will share their experiences with the application of AI in manufacturing.
“Part of our mission as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity is outreach to increase cyber awareness on our campus and in the world,” said Helen Schneider, Ph.D. associate professor and chair of computer science. “This annual event is a great opportunity to network while looking at the risks and rewards of the latest technologies that everyone is talking about. We use this event to educate our majors and to give them a platform to educate others.”
