UF Homecoming and Family Weekend ’19 to be Celebrated in September
Once an Oiler, always an Oiler! University of Findlay’s Homecoming and Family Weekend 2019 will take place earlier than usual this year, from Sept. 27-29, so mark your calendars now.
Featuring the theme “Forever Oilers,” the weekend will be filled with traditional events such as the UF Alumni Association’s annual awards breakfast and the football game. Some new activities this year will include:
- Findlay Faithfuls vowels renewal at the arch – Findlay couples, past and present, who met while students and went on to get married are invited to attend a renewal service, officiated by Findlay Mayor Christina (Terry) Muryn ’14, at the Griffith Memorial Arch on Saturday, Sept. 28 at 12:30 p.m.
- Mini Symposium for Scholarship and Creativity – based on the annual April campus-wide event, this offering will feature one undergraduate student from each college who will share their research, creativity, and professional learning experiences on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Alumni Memorial Union.
- All Hazards Training Center Open House – Everyone is invited to peruse the facilities for this program, which is also celebrating its 30-year anniversary this year.
Stay tuned! More fun activities are still in the works for UF Homecoming and Family Weekend 2019. Keep checking the homecoming website for updates.
