UF Hosting 2nd Annual International Mother Language Day
Travel the globe simply by visiting the University of Findlay for its second annual International Mother Language Day celebration! The free, public event will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 21 in the Center for Student Life atrium.
Live music will be offered, and several UF students will tell stories in their mother languages, including Arabic, Japanese, Swahili, Bengali, English, Portuguese, Chinese, Spanish and more.
This celebration of linguistic and cultural diversity at UF is being presented by the Department of Language and Culture and Cultural Connections of Hancock County.
International Mother Language Day was established in 1999 by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
