UF Student Wins 2023 Ohio Fair Queen
University of Findlay Pre-Vet sophomore, Rebekah Hardacre, was crowned the 2023 Ohio Fairs’ Queen during the annual Ohio Fair Managers Convention. Hardacre was selected from a field of 73 county and independent fair queens and crowned during the combined Senior and Junior Fair Board member general session.
“It has been a family tradition for me. My mom Jennifer won the 1991 Clark County Fair Queen and my older sister Emma won the 2018 Clark County Fair Queen, and I won the 2022 Clark County Fair Queen,” Said Hardacre. “I am the first in my family to win the Ohio Fairs’ Queen title!” Winning Ohio Fairs’ Queen involves an extensive application, a week-long competition of interviews, meet-and-greets, and on-stage presence and questions. “Every year the judges look for something a little different so it’s always best to be yourself so the judges can choose a representative for that year,” said Hardacre.
Hardacre came to University of Findlay to continue her animal science education and to start her education towards a large animal veterinarian and is now focusing her veterinarian career towards the military as she is currently a Specialist for the Army National Guard.
