University of Findlay TESOL student, Qian Wang, discusses Chinese culture with Van Buren High School’s Chinese class.
The University of Findlay’s Department of Language and Culture will host an “Intercultural Showcase” from 2:30-4 p.m. Sunday, June 7 in the Alumni Memorial Union’s multipurpose room.
The public event will highlight three groups’ experiences of intercultural projects in the community through informal poster presentations. Students have recently taken part in a Findlay-Hancock County Community Foundation-funded “teacher training project,” a service learning project and a “community internationalization project.”
Students visited various classrooms and daycare centers to share information about their cultures, and to also learn more about American culture.
Refreshments will be served.
