University of Findlay Announces Winners of Annual Innovation Competition
The University of Findlay proudly announced the winners of its annual Innovation Competition, an event designed to foster creativity, entrepreneurship, and forward-thinking solutions among students and emerging business leaders. This event is made possible by Garner Trucking and the Garner Entrepreneurial Endowment.
The competition featured two categories: Innovative Idea and Student in Business, highlighting both early-stage concepts and established student-led ventures.
Innovative Idea Category Winners
Students in this category presented original concepts with strong potential for development and real-world impact.
- 1st Place ($2,000): Makayla Oman — Hydro Relaunch
- 2nd Place ($1,500): Samuel Derstine — Tempo Tea
- 3rd Place ($1,000): Amari Felder — Jewel City Customs
Student in Business Category Winners
This category recognized students actively operating businesses, awarding both prize money and additional funding for continued growth, mentorship, and support.
- 1st Place ($2,000 + $3,000 in support): Samuel Dolan — Precision Aerial Solutions, LLC
- 2nd Place ($1,500 + $1,010 in support): Stephen Cain — Purified Wash
- 3rd Place ($1,000 + $500 in support): Charlee Conley — No Crumbs
The Innovation Competition continues to serve as a cornerstone event for the University, providing students with opportunities to pitch ideas, gain valuable feedback from industry professionals, and access resources that help turn concepts into viable businesses.
