University of Findlay Hosts “AIGA Get Out the Vote” Student Poster Design Exhibition
The University of Findlay’s Visual Art Department is proud to host the “AIGA Get Out the Vote Student Poster Design Exhibition,” a collaborative showcase aimed at inspiring civic engagement through the power of design. The exhibition runs from October 14 through November 6 in the Lea Gallery, Gardner Fine Arts Pavilion, on the University of Findlay campus.
Featuring 30 non-partisan poster designs from graphic design students at the University of Findlay, Bluffton University, and Ohio Northern University, the exhibition seeks to motivate Americans to exercise their right to vote on November 5, 2024. The posters creatively highlight the importance of participation in the democratic process, emphasizing the role of art and design in fostering civic responsibility.
An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, October 16, from 6 – 7:30 p.m. in the Lea Gallery. Attendees will have the opportunity to view the thought-provoking poster designs, meet the student artists, and learn more about the significance of voting in the upcoming election.
This exhibition is part of AIGA’s national Get Out the Vote initiative, which aims to increase voter turnout through design that communicates the importance of being an active participant in democracy. For more information about the AIGA’s Get Out the Vote campaign, visit www.aiga.org.
