University of Findlay Listed as Military Friendly School for 2020-2021
As a result of University of Findlay’s commitment to military personnel, whether active or veterans, the University has been recognized as a Military Friendly School for 2020-21.
UF’s dedication to providing educational opportunities and financial aid to help members of the United States Armed Forces transition from a life in the military to that on its campus put the University in the annual 2020-21 Military Friendly Schools list recently released by Viqtory, the premier media entity for military personnel transitioning into civilian life.
The Military Friendly Schools list is created each year based on extensive research using public data sources for more than 8,800 schools nationwide and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly Schools survey from participating institutions. UF was chosen from over 1000 participants. The survey categories include:
- Graduation & Career Outcomes
- Culture & Commitment
- Military Student Support & Retention
- Admissions & Orientation
- Academic Policies & Compliance
- Financial Aid & Loan Repayment
According to UF’s Director of Graduate Operations, Coordinator of Online Delivery and IRB Research Officer Heather Riffle, UF consistently works to better its services for students in the military, including working with Financial Aid to improve communication for students using their military benefits to make it an easy process.
The Military Friendly Schools survey is the longest-running most comprehensive review of college and university investments in serving military and veteran students. Their website states that the 2020-2021 Military Friendly Schools list is more exclusive than ever, and covers institutions offering certificate programs to doctoral degrees.
The Military Friendly media and website includes the schools list and its separate list of employers, interactive tools and search functionality to help military students find the best school to suit their unique needs and preferences.
