University of Findlay to Celebrate 18th Annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive
Monday, November 14th kicks off University of Findlay’s 18th annual Toys for Tots Toy Drive, with a goal of collecting 300 toys for children of Hancock County.
Donations are being accepted in UF’s Alumni Memorial Union (AMU):
- Nov. 14th – Nov. 18th: From 9:30 a.m. to Noon & From 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Nov. 28th – Dec. 1st: From 9:30 a.m. to Noon & From 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Toys are needed for ages infant-to-16 years. The U.S. Marine Corps and Salvation Army request toys be brand new and unwrapped. Electronics (DVDs, CDs, video games, gaming systems, etc.) are discouraged. For toys that require batteries, please attach batteries to the toy. Cash donations will be accepted in the Office of Student Activities, and will be used to purchase toys for age categories not met by toy donations.
Hancock County residents and the Findlay community are encouraged to donate, but are also invited to attend the free Toys for Tots Christmas Party from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on December 1st. The party will be held in UF’s AMU Fireside Lounge. Inside, guests can greet U.S. Marines, take pictures with Santa and his helper, Mishka, and enjoy Christmas music and snacks.
This event is sponsored by University of Findlay’s Student Activities Board, the Office of Student Activities, Commuter Services, Leadership Development, Office of Campus Safety & Emergency Management, and the U.S. Marine Corps. The U.S. Marine Corps will partner with Hancock County’s Salvation Army and CHOPIN Hall, to distribute toys to Hancock County children this holiday season.
