University of Findlay to host 21st annual Spring Horse Sale
The University of Findlay’s Equine Marketing class is preparing to host the University’s 21st annual Spring Horse Sale. The sale will be held on Saturday, April 25 at the University Western Farm’s Dale Wilkinson Arena (14700 U.S. Route 68, South of Findlay). Riding demonstrations will begin at 10 a.m. and the sale will begin at noon with bidding available both in-person and online.
Within this year’s sale we will offer a multitude of different disciplines and provide horses that can match riders at numerous experience levels. Here at the University of Findlay, we pride ourselves in our integrity and dedication to creating honest and quality horses. We aim to provide satisfaction to our customers in an organized and ethical setting. Within our catalog you will find horses with pedigrees including GUNNER DUN IT AGAIN, MAKIN ME WILLY WILD, BATT MAN, and many more. We will offer horses that hold beginner to advanced skills within western pleasure, hunters, ranch riding, reining, and all-around. Just shy of 40 horses will be available of various breeds, ages, and backgrounds. This year’s catalog is nothing short from diverse and will have something for everyone.
The Spring Horse Sale has been made possible by the University of Findlay’s students and faculty. Both the English and Western Equestrian students spend the school year riding and training the horses featured in the UF Spring Horse Sale, developing their specific talents in preparation for their future careers. Additionally, the Spring Horse Sale is organized, advertised, and run by University of Findlay students with the guidance and advice of university instructors and faculty.
Proceeds from the Spring Horse Sale are reinvested in the University’s equine programs via scholarships awarded to students and the purchase of additional horses to better aid the education and experience for students in the university’s equine programs.
