University of Findlay Welcomes Potential Students to Oiler Preview Day
University of Findlay welcomed dozens of students and their families to campus, for Oiler Preview Day on Monday. The event welcomed students from all over the country to tour campus, talk with faculty and staff in the departments they are interested in studying, and allowed them to enjoy a free lunch on campus.
Each year the University holds four to five Oiler Preview Days, and an additional four to five Animal Science, Equestrian, and Pre-Vet Discovery Days. “We get to give students and their parents an experience of UF, and they get to try us on a little bit. They get to experience a little bit of everything, and hopefully say ‘I can see myself here,’” said Shawn Jordan, Director of Strategic Recruitment.
For some students, Oiler Preview Day is the first time they’ve ever been at the University of Findlay, and for some, this is their first-ever visit to a college campus. Other students are making a second or third visit to campus. “I have a senior who is visiting once again, only this time he came with his sister. It’s becoming a family affair if you will, and that is something special,” said Jordan.
For those students interested in attending a visit day at the University of Findlay, the next visit day is an Animal Science, Equestrian, Pre-Vet Discovery Day set for Friday, March 17. The next Oiler Preview Day is scheduled for Saturday, March 25.
