University of Findlay’s OilerOne Card Now Offered on Mobile Devices

University of Findlay students, faculty, and staff can now add their OilerOne Mobile ID to Apple Wallet or Google Pay using their iPhones, Apple Watches, or Android phones to conveniently swipe for meal plans and make purchases on campus.
“The University of Findlay is excited to bring technology to our campus that will allow for increased ease, convenience, and enhanced security for our students,” said Brandi Laurita, vice president of student affairs and director of athletics at the University of Findlay. “The OilerOne Mobile ID is an innovative and progressive technology that allows the University to continue to be a leader in higher education.”
OilerOne Mobile ID on iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android phones can be used to swipe for meal plans, perform point-of-sale transactions on campus, and attend campus events — with just a tap of your iPhone, Apple Watch, or Android phone. This virtual ID card is protected by two factor authentication to ensure only the student can access their own account, even if someone else knows their password. OilerOne Mobile ID does not replace the physical OilerOne Card. Users will still keep a physical card.
The move from physical cards to a contactless OilerOne Mobile ID allows for transactions that are both safe and convenient and helps students avoid touching the readers or handing their ID cards to someone else. University of Findlay can also issue school IDs remotely without the need to see students in-person or print and mail physical cards, creating a safer, more cost-effective, and more environmentally friendly process.
“I am pleased that we can offer this highly advanced technology to our students, staff, and faculty,” said University of Findlay President Katherine Fell, Ph.D. “It will save them time and keep them safer.”
There is minimal set up required to use the OilerOne Mobile ID and most users will be able to begin using it in minutes. For more information and to get started, visit the OilerOne Mobile ID webpage. If you need help setting up the card, please visit the Helpdesk in Shafer Library.
