Veterans Day Ceremony to be Held Nov. 9 at UF
The University of Findlay will host a Veterans Day Observance on Friday, Nov. 9 at 8 a.m. at the Veterans’ Honor Wall in the Center for Student Life and College of Business, located on campus between Davis and College streets.
Special guest speaker will be Lt. Col. James W. Woodward ’63, who was named the 2018 Hancock County Veteran of the Year.
Remarks will also be given by UF Board of Trustee member and former U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Captain Chris Ostrander.
A reading of the names on the UF Veterans’ Honor Wall will occur immediately following the program. The wall was funded by the Class of 1966 and was dedicated during the University’s 2017 Veterans Day ceremony. It recognizes nearly 700 Findlay College/University of Findlay military service members.
