Visiting Professor to Address Globalization’s Effect on Vietnam

Tran Nguyen Khang, a lecturer in the faculty of international relations at Vietnam National University of Social Sciences and Humanities, will speak about globalization’s effects on Vietnam at an upcoming University of Findlay presentation. The free, public event will be held Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 7-8 p.m. in the Davis Street Building, Room 102.
Khang will offer general knowledge about Vietnam in the era of globalization. International relations will be addressed, and Khang will analyze major changes and priorities in Vietnam since the end of the Cold War. With respect to changes and opportunities of contemporary world politics, the lecture will also scrutinize globalization’s influence on the country’s development and contemporary Vietnamese culture.
Refreshments will be served. The lecture is sponsored by the UF’s Buford Center for Diversity and Service; the Offices of International Admissions and Services and Academic Affairs; the College of Liberal Arts; and the Department of Language and Culture.
