Weather Wonders to be Explored at Mazza Museum’s Funday Sunday April 19
Sunny skies, tornadoes, and snowstorms will converge April 19 over the University of Findlay’s Mazza Museum where area families are invited to enjoy the “Weather Wonders” Funday Sunday program.
Free and open to the public, the event will transform the museum into an interactive exploration of weather, where art and science come together through hands-on activities and creative play.
From 1 p.m. to 3:30 p.m., children and families can explore a variety of engaging stations, including creating tornado tubes, experimenting with “snowstorms in a jar,” building cloud models, and making suncatchers.
Kristine Habelmann, education manager at the Mazza Museum, forecasts much fun at the event, including a special guest meteorologist, who will offer a short, interactive presentation and answer questions about weather, adding an exciting real-world career to the experience.
“Families also are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite weather phenomenon, whether that’s sunshine, rainbows, snowstorms, or even a tornado,” she added.
Registration for Funday Sunday is required and can be completed at oilers.findlay.edu/pages/events/mazza-funday-sunday.
This will be the final program of the Funday Sundays 2025-26 series, which is sponsored by Hancock Federal Credit Union.
