Words of Gratitude Shared During UF’s Thank a Donor Day ’22
University of Findlay’s campus community came together Wednesday, Feb. 23 to express their gratitude for those who have given to the University as part of Thank a Donor Day.
During this annual day of recognition and appreciation, students, faculty, and staff stopped by the Center for Student Life and College of Business to write thank you notes to the generous donors who make so many things possible for those at UF.
“Every year, I have the opportunity to work with students who have been on the receiving end of donor support and I can see the impact that it has on their time as an Oiler,” said Brittany Beltz, assistant director of annual giving and stewardship manager. “On Thank a Donor Day, the campus community comes together to share their gratitude for the generosity of UF’s donors.”
Gifts to the University are felt daily across campus and have made exceptional education possible for many UF students. Beltz noted, “The University’s donors are made up of alumni, faculty, staff, parents, friends, and even students! We could not fulfill our mission of equipping students for meaningful lives and productive careers without donor support.”
For the 2020-21 academic year:
- Over $1.5 million in donor-funded scholarships were awarded to students.
- 705 donor-funded scholarships were awarded to 465 students.
- 85.7 percent of faculty and staff made gifts to support the University.
- 191 UF students (and a generous matching donor) gave a total of $7,859 as part of the Graduating Class Gift.
