Anti-Human Trafficking Group to Host Public Awareness Event
The Hancock County Chapter of the Northwest Ohio Restore Anti-Human Trafficking Commission will host an awareness event on Thursday, Jan. 25 at the University of Findlay’s Alumni Memorial Union.
State and local practitioners who are working to combat human trafficking will participate in a panel discussion. They include Michelle Stratton, SANE nurse at Blanchard Valley Health System; Ryan Fausnaugh, executive director for the Center for Safe and Healthy Children in Findlay; Alex Hunt and Pete Swartz, FBI special agents; Tim Chrulski, operations director for Garner Trucking; Emily Hurt, a therapist who provides services at Century Health; and Jo-Dee Figueroa, co-chair of the Northwest Ohio Rescue and Restore coalition, and a human trafficking survivor.
The event is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6 p.m. and the discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m.
