Business Professor Recognized for Student Employee Supervision
Several University of Findlay student employees already have a great head start on their careers thanks to marketing and business professor Nabaroon Ghose, D.B.A., who was recently named Student Employment Supervisor of the Year.
Sponsored by the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators, the award is given at various institutions to those who exceed standard supervisor expectations by offering superior leadership and motivation. Supervisors can be nominated by colleagues and student employees.
Comments from Ghose’s nominating students were stellar.
“Dr. Ghose encouraged me to not only fulfill my regular job duties, but also to conduct cutting-edge research, write research papers with him, and publish and present them at prestigious national and international conferences,” one student wrote.
“Dr. Ghose has helped me develop essential skills to succeed in life, and thanks to his constant guidance, support, and never-ending bright and pragmatic ideas, I broke out of my comfort zone and accomplished goals that I had believed earlier to be impossible,” explained one of his graduate research assistants.
Other UF award nominees included Pam Carles, Shafer Library access services coordinator; Joseph Payton, assistant barn manager for Animal Sciences; Nicole Thungen, English Riding Program director and instructor; Chuck Coldren, Physical Plant maintenance technician; and Suzanne Recker, assistant director for International Admissions.
