#GivingTuesday ’20: Giving in a Time it’s Needed Most

During a holiday season unlike any other, University of Findlay hopes that you’ll keep its students in mind. The University invites you to give locally as part of #GivingTuesday, a national day of philanthropy, on Dec. 1 to help equip students for meaningful lives and productive careers.
This #GivingTuesday, a generous donor is matching the first 200 donations, in any amount and to any designation, with a $50 gift to the Findlay Fund up to $10,000. In addition, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act has reinstated a tax credit for charitable contributions up to $300 made in the 2020 calendar year.
“Gifts to UF on #GivingTuesday will help provide financial assistance to students who need it the most, and to University operations that have the most impact on student success,” said Kelly Warner, director of annual giving. She explained when you give to the University, you:
- Provide flexible funding to both answer the most urgent needs and take advantage of unforeseen opportunities. Whether those needs are for structure, equipment, programs, or scholarships, the needs are always driven by the progression of students.
- Enable the University to operate smoothly, empower innovation, and provide fuel for growth.
- Unlock potential that allows faculty and staff to get down-to-business and do what they’re best at.
- Make it possible for Findlay to weather crises without losing momentum.
“Most importantly, the Findlay Fund is the philanthropic engine that drives our daily operations,” said Warner. “When you support the Findlay Fund you have the biggest impact on our students, faculty, and staff.”
Gifts can be made for particular programs, services, and student groups as well as general funds that impact the campus as a whole. Make an immediate impact today!
