Join the University of Findlay in a “Celebration of Oiler Nation” with Virtual Homecoming Weekend 2020 Oct. 9-11.
The 2020 homecoming is all about celebrating what it means to be an Oiler, and will be primarily virtual to protect the health and safety of the Findlay community. Additional information and registration for events can be found on the Virtual Homecoming 2020 webpage and the Oiler Mobile App.

Tune in to UFTV to show your support as the UF Marching Band kicks off homecoming with a thrilling performance!
THURSDAY, OCT. 8
College of Education Virtual Professional Development
7 – 8:30 p.m. (EST) | Zoom
A rising star in STEM education and advocacy, Justin J. Shaifer is a LinkedIn Top Voice in Technology and popular science communicator with a talent for understanding and inspiring GenZ. Justin will discuss “Why STEM is Cool” and “How to Speak GenZ” in this virtual Professional Development discussion.
Homecoming Weekend
FRIDAY, OCT. 9
College of Health Professions Shriners Continuing Education Event
9 a.m. – Noon (EST) | Zoom
Shriner’s Hospital physicians Dr. Sue Mukherjee and Dr. Karen Kruger team up to discuss Motion Analysis in Orthopedics & Rehabilitation Applications. This two-hour presentation will be followed by an hour long Inter-Professional Education (IPE) session.
Oiler Nation Drive-Thru
6-7:30 p.m. | UF Campus, parking lot at Koehler Fitness Center
This is a fun activity for the entire family! Take a special drive through “Celebration of Oiler Nation” where you’ll get an Oiler swag bag (one per vehicle), have the opportunity to take a selfie with Derrick the Oiler at your vehicle window, and wave to the UF football players! This event is sponsored by our University Advancement Ambassadors, a UF student group promoting positive relations and interaction between students of UF and alumni.

Virtual 5K
Register by Sept. 27, 2020 to guarantee your t-shirt and swag bag.
Virtual 5k runs Oct. 3, 2020 through Oct. 10, 2020 at 8 a.m. Results will be released at 5 p.m.
Alumni Association Annual Awards

Celebrate as the University of Findlay Alumni Association honors the recipients of the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Awards, Old Main Award, Gold Medallion Award, Arch Award, and Honorary Alumni Award with a virtual ceremony.
Virtual Alumni Tailgate & Oiler Football Surprise
2 – 3 p.m. (EST) | Zoom
The party continues with a Virtual Alumni Tailgate. Join Mike Yunis ’80, vintage rock radio personality, for a festive virtual tailgate with a panel of three Oiler football alumni from various class years. Join in the discussion with a Q&A session and look forward to a very exciting UF football surprise!

Worship Service

Founded in Christian faith, the University is proud to continue the tradition of providing a Worship Service as part of Homecoming Weekend. Watch the service live on UFTV’s channel.
Another way to virtually participate in this years Homecoming & Family Weekend is through social media contests including an Oiler Alumni Pet Show, Future Oiler Contest, and Decorate Spirit Rock – Virtually.
Due to the virtual aspect of our Homecoming celebration, the long-standing tradition of selecting senior students for Homecoming Court will be postponed until the spring 2021 semester.
Whether together or apart, the bond that links us all as Oilers is forever strong. Keep checking the Homecoming webpage for updates on available virtual events and registration.
