Second Annual UF Innovation Competition to Take Place

The University of Findlay’s College of Business is hosting its second annual Innovation Competition this semester. Undergraduate students of any major will compete for cash prizes by designing and presenting a sustainable business model that would benefit the City of Findlay businesses and services.
Any University of Findlay undergraduate student is eligible to compete as an individual or in a team of up to four students. Participants will develop a sustainable idea, create a business model and deliver a final presentation to judges. Those in the final round will compete for cash prizes totaling $4,250 per division.
The divisions in which each team can compete include:
- “New Venture” where contestants must explain a novel idea or opportunity for a product or service
- “Small Business” in which they must detail how an independently owned and operated business could be established in Findlay
- “Community Outreach” which require contestants to explain the services and benefits that could be extended to community members to fill gaps not being provided by for-profit and governmental organizations
Applications must be submitted no later than 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10.
