Sekar Elected a Fellow of the American Pharmacists Association
M. Chandra Sekar, R.Ph., Ph.D., professor, College of Pharmacy was elected as a fellow of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA) at its annual national meeting in Los Angeles, Calif., March 1-4, 2013.
Fellows are nominated by their colleagues and peers, and applications are reviewed by the APhA awards committee. At the 2013 meeting, 17 new fellows were elected into the APhA, which has more than 60,000 members. An APhA fellow is selected based on the following criterion:
- minimum of ten years of professional experience
- rendered outstanding service to the profession through contribution to APhA and other pharmacy organizations
- significant contribution to pharmacy research and education
