Thank a Donor Day 2019 to be Celebrated
Can you count yourself as one of University of Findlay’s wonderful donors? The campus community will be expressing its gratitude during Thank a Donor Day on Wednesday, March 13.
At the Center for Student life between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., students, faculty and staff will be writing notes of appreciation, and recording a heartfelt “thank you” video that will be shared on social media later in the day. Also, tags placed around campus will indicate the ways in which generous donors have supported physical locations across campus, as well as scholarships. Look for social media posts featuring tags with hashtag #ThankUFDonors.
UF and its students have been very fortunate over the years thanks to generations of alumni, parents, corporations, foundations and University faculty and staff who have given to make a Findlay education possible. Even many students themselves are givers!
The numbers speak for themselves. For the 2017-2018 school year:
- $1.3 million in donor-funded scholarships were awarded to students.
- 826 donor-funded scholarships were awarded to 501 students.
- 86.7 percent of faculty and staff made gifts to support the University.
- 202 UF students gave a total of $4,240.
The Thank a Donor Day 2018 video illustrates how UF celebrates this special occasion.
