The University of Findlay’s College of Business Receives Accreditation
The College of Business at The University of Findlay has earned accreditation from the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).
“This accreditation affirms that we have a commitment to quality student learning outcomes, continuous improvement, innovation and scholarship,” said Paul Sears, Ph.D., dean of the College of Business.
The ACBSP is the leading specialized accreditation association for business education, supporting and rewarding teaching excellence. It accredits business, accounting and business-related programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master and doctorate degree levels worldwide. ACBSP was the first to offer specialized business accreditation at all degree levels.
According to Sears, benefits of accreditation include:
Assures a focus on quality learning outcomes and serving students
- Keeps programs current through curriculum development
- Creates guidelines for faculty credentials, which leads to higher standards in hiring
- Leads to a more effective use of technology
- Requires an ongoing effort to improve all organizational processes
