The University of Findlay will celebrate Arbor Day, and its third annual Tree Campus U.S.A. designation, on Tuesday, April 24 at 3 p.m. at the corner of Morey and Davis streets. The event will be free and open to the public.
The program, organized by Ben Dolan, Ph.D., associate professor of biology, will include the planting of three chinkapin oaks, which are prized for their shade and provide small acorns for wildlife.
Planning to attend will be UF President Katherine Fell, Ph.D., and Findlay Mayor Lydia Mihalik.
