UF Bands and Orchestra to Offer Two Free Virtual Concerts

University of Findlay will offer two virtual concerts on Sunday, Nov. 22. The University Orchestra will present “Music and Dance” at 3 p.m. and University of Findlay Bands will present “Familiar Sounds in Unfamiliar Times” at 7 p.m.
Both performances will be livestreamed for free from Winebrenner building via UFTV’s YouTube Channel.
Soo-Jin Lee, orchestra conductor, will conduct the orchestra concert, which will feature Russian Sailor’s Dance by Reinhold Gliere, Blue Danube Waltz by Johann Strauss, Folk Tune and Fiddle Dance by Percy E. Fletcher, among others.
Wes King, band director, will direct the band in a concert full of familiar band music. “We want to try and bring a sense of comfort and familiarity in these unfamiliar times,” King said. “I’m very proud of our UF Bands for rising to the occasion and making the best of these less than ideal times. We are just happy to be able to make music.”
